Sold from Bowden Ford in Cheltham to the General Manager of Myer Emporium SA, the car has had three owners since. The XY was sold through Bennets auctions in 2001 and has been well kept up in the years since, its life spent kept in the shed with the owner servicing it and doing any work as neccessary. It still runs the matching number 302 "Y" code Windsor V8 which hums along quite nicely, paired with a 3 speed column "Cruisomatic" auto transmission. The original Ultra White finish is showing some small signs of aging - as it should after 54 years - but as it sits this is a good condition survivor car. The standard "Gold mist" seats, including a split bench with pull-down armrest, is still in wonderful condition, and all original door trims and dashboard incorporated ‘teak grained’ plasti-wood. The car also comes with a multitude of spare parts the owner collected over the years, and the sunvisor that was once fitted to the vehicle.
