First time on the market in over 60 years Collectable Classics is delighted to announce we have been appointed to sell the following historic race Cars .. The first is fondly known as The ' Bentrollux ' This car characterises the nature of cars in the last 1930's which raced at Brooklands . The car was built as a special tribute to the 1930's FORREST-LYCETT Bentley Special , which incorporates a RR Straight 8 engine and gearbox, a tall ratio differential , a fully instrumented period dash and period running gear . This example is powered by a six and a half litre straight eight Rolls Royce type B80 "F" head engine coupled with a RR four speed crash gearbox. This car has been a labour of love for many years and the current owner has campaigned the car all over Australia . Current owner estimates build costs to be in the vicinity of $150,000 and to build today would cost you almost double. The Bentley Special has been constructed from Bentley, Rolls Royce and other components , all of the 1939 period . The car is currently on Victorian historical registration and is street legal ready for you to enjoy . Contact Ben Finnis for more information . More photo's arriving soon . More Racing Cars Wanted . Note - Car stored with owner . App must be made prior. Back
