Mileage 71739 Engine 1.8L - 4 Cylinder Rego RCC419 Just arrived - This 1969 Alfa Romeo 105 1750 GTV Series 1 is an incredible completely original car that is all matching numbers. There were 44,269 units of the 1750 GTV produced which introduced many updates to the 105 range. Along with body styling, the engine capacity was increased to 1779cc, stroke lengthened, and the maximum torque increased. This found the car becoming much more flexible to drive and easier to maintain higher average speeds than earlier renditions. This new engine even produced enough performance to give the 6 cylinder Monaros and V6 Capri's a hard time. This Alfa was delivered from Addison Motors (now City Mazda) in 1969 to its first owner, who then traded in the car later that year where it was purchased by its second owner, a woman who owned the car for the next 39 years. The current owner then purchased the car in 2012 at 55,000 miles. It recieved major servicing on all fluids, brakes, and tyres. 2014 saw the engine rebuilt including rings, seals, and gaskets, though the engine presented in wonderful untouched condition, and a new clutch was fitted in 2018 by EuroSport. The current owner has done approx. 18,000 miles since 2012 including many a road trip and cars and coffee events. As it sits, the car is in original and unmodified condition, it has simply been lovingly maintained and well looked after over the years. It is powered by the matching number 1779cc engine and matching 5 speed manual gearbox. The interior is also all mostly untouched, with the carpets, trim, roof lining, and astor blue dot radio remaining original. The car is complete with original service book, tool kit, jack, and even retained the original SA registration number. The condition of the Alfa is a true testament to the passion of its owners over the years and presents amazingly for its age. It is neat, tidy, and untouched - which is hard to find these days.
