Mileage TBA Engine 1.2L - 4 Cylinder Rego SPITY3 Just arrived - This 1969 Triumph Spitfire MKIII is great value for money. Designed by Standard Triupmh as competition to the Austin Healey Sprite in the small sports car market, 65,320 Triumph Spitfire MKIII were built. The MKIII model recieved a facelift that made it stand out from earlier models. In response to new regulations, the front bumper and front coil springs were slightly raised. The rear overriders were deleted and bumper mounted reversing lights became standard on these models. The MKIII recieved a 1,296cc engine that had been bored out, as was also in the new Triumph Herald and Triumph 1300. This was paired with a four speed manual gearbox with overdrive on third and fourth gear. This Spitfire comes with an incredible large file documenting its history back to the late 1980's where it was in Victoria for some time. Theres not much that hasn't been done to this car over the years. As it sits, the Spitfire is in good condition body wise, though certainly not new - it is almost 56 years old afterall. These are a great little sport cars and examples like this one are getting hard to find - especially with such extensive history!.
