All original Alpina build sheets and other supporting documentation is available together with receipts for recent mechanical work conducted in Australia. The car is being sold as a project with no registration or RWC. The car has an amazing history and provenance, being originally owned by the Sultan of Brunei (and listed by VIN in the Sultan's register) and laid unused in his vast collection until auctioned off in 2020. Extensive restoration work has been performed on the Alpina assembled BMW 3.5 litre 6 cylinder engine, including a full rebore, new Mahle pistons, new fuel injectors, new radiator, etc. The car sits on four gorgeous Alpina wheels. Most of the work was carried out because the car sat unused in a tropical environment for many years. While the Alpina runs and stops, I have not driven it off our property, so I cannot verify the full operation of the 4-speed auto gearbox, though work by the previous owner shows there is an issue with the "kick-down". The interior seat upholstery has suffered in the tropical heat and requires redoing. Other identified problems are associated with instrumentation and some electrical components, though few of these would impact registration. The car has fully approved and documented Australian importation licensing.
