Just arrived - This 1976 Holden HJ Statesman DeVille is not your average classic. This Statesman rolled off of the Sydney production line with a factory 308 V8 and a TH400 3-speed automatic. In 2016, it underwent a complete restoration with well over $100,000 spent turning it into what you see today. Port City Engines turned the 308 into a 355 stroker with roller rockers, a Clive Cams camshaft, a double pumper Holley carburettor, and ceramic-coated extractors. The owner confirms that this car now produces around 420hp. This is paired to a heavy-duty T400 3-speed automatic transmission with a trans oil cooler. The car was stripped right back, with the chassis sand blasted and a 120L fuel tank, 6 piston Wilwood front brakes, Ford 9 inch diff, and heavy duty roll bars fitted. Originally finished in Antelope Metallic, the Statesman has been resprayed in a metallic gold colour. The chamois interior received a full restoration too, with power steering, new carpet, a GTS wheel, electronic gauges, an upgraded Pioneer radio and electric seats from a later model statesman. The Statesman was completed approximately 7 years ago, and still presents very well. Eligible for historic registration, the HJ comes with the rights to the plates 'SDV355' if it stays in SA. This is a wonderful hotted up Aussie classic that is sure to impress.
