Assembled in the Dandenong plant, this Torana began life as an SL-level car. It came from the factory with a 4.2L (253ci) V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission. The Torana received a restoration many years ago, prior to the current owner, during which the 4.2L was stroked out to 290ci. It was also equipped with an upgraded cam, an aluminium radiator, twin thermo fans, aluminium rocker covers, a polished inlet manifold, a chrome water pump, extractors, an electronic ignition, a K&N air filter, and a limited-slip differential. The original tan vinyl interior has been replaced with a grey cloth featuring aqua piping, an upgraded Pioneer radio and a dash cam in the front and back. Originally finished in Jasmine Yellow, the Torana was resprayed in the black-and-yellow combination iconic to the SL/R 5000. Paired with a set of Hotwire wheels, it presents very well for the vehicle's age, both inside and out. Eligible for historic registration, join your local Holden club and enjoy cruises with like-minded enthusiasts as well as minimal on-road costs.
