Available in a utility or panel van, the Sandmans came with a GTS gauge cluster, sports steering wheel, bucket seats, rally wheels, GTS style guards and the iconic 'Sandman' decals. The 173ci 6 cylinder was standard, though most were optioned with a 253ci or 308ci V8. The Holden production report confirms this car is a genuine Sandman, which was delivered new with a 4.3L (253ci) V8 and a 4-speed manual gearbox. The Sandman has had a full restoration and still exhibits amazingly. The exterior was sandblasted and resprayed in the original Ultra Blue, which was a very rare colour for these cars.
