Under the ownership of Fiat, the Simca 8 was produced between 1937 and 1951, with 112,363 cars built. Driven by a 1221cc 4-cylinder Fiat motor, the Simca's 4-speed manual gearbox had syncromesh on the top two ratios. What makes these cars stand out is their 4-door pillarless saloon styling. With the suicide doors on the rear, the cabin can be opened right up on either side of the vehicle. This particular car is a very nice example. An older restoration, the Simca is finished in a wonderful two-tone grey and white that highlights its classic looks and excellent chromework. This is offset very well by a two-tone interior and a woodgrain dash. The work doesn't stop there, with a very clean engine bay and impressively neat wiring. The Simca comes with a file of assorted manuals and workshop books, and some spare parts too. This is a wonderful classic for those who adore French quirkiness to enjoy club runs and weekend cruises.
