Just arrived - This 1951 Jaguar MkV 3½ Litre Saloon is a beautifully presented classic. The MkV was the first Jaguar with independent front suspension, hydraulic brakes, and the first with fender skirts, too. They were produced alongside the XK120, but outsold it by approximately 5,000 cars per year. Over their four-year run, a total of 10,499 were produced, with 5923 of those being RHD 3½L. This MkV is a wonderful example. Powered by the 3485 cc '3½L' 6 cylinder engine and a four-speed single-helical gearbox, the Jag has just had a large sum of money put into it to prepare for sale. Stepney Auto Repairs machined the front and rear brake drums, reconditioned the brake master cylinder, and reconditioned the front and rear brake cylinders. Both carburettors were also overhauled, and the fuel tank was stripped, rust removed, and resealed, along with a few extras. Additionally, the car was detailed and paint-sealed by Next Level Detailing, which has gotten the car shining like new once more. Finished in a gorgeous combination of British Racing Green and white, the Jag is offset brilliantly with a very tidy tan interior. Open the suicide doors for a seat inside the beautiful interior, and open the sunroof on nice days. It is presented in wonderful condition for the age of the vehicle and is a true testament to its owner. Complete with the toolkit, this Jag is eligible for historic registration, which greatly minimises on-road costs. This is a wonderful classic Sunday cruiser and a very tidy example.
