Just arrived - This 1965 Volkswagen Kombi Crew Cab Utility is a fantastic car great for the collector. Introduced in 1950, the Kombi was available in a range of body shapes, including the dual cab. These cars were pioneers in the modern cargo and passenger van markets, and have since become an incredibly iconic classic. First generations were known as the T1 and built from 1950 to 1967. T1's are identifiable by their split windscreen. This T1 ute is unique as it is a German made right hand drive vehicle, as confirmed by the plate in the interior. Fully Imported in 2011, the current owners purchased the car from Sydney in 2020, giving the car 3 owners in Australia. The original engine has been swapped to a 1600 twin port, which was available in the later Brazillian Kombi's, and fully rebuilt by European Vehicle services less than 200 kms ago ($16,900). This is united to a 4 speed manual transmission. The car has been resprayed in a beautiful two tone orange and cream with 'Cavemantiques' door lettering, and the previous owner reupholstered the interior. The T1 is ready to go, complete with its original service books. Insured with our friends from Shannons for $120,000 Contact Ben Finnis - 0411 744 190. Interstate transport can be arranged.
