The 1968 Impala was an incredibly well-received and well-produced car in its time, outselling the Chevelle three times over. In Australia, they were imported as a complete knock-down and sold by GMH. This Impala was sold out of Melbourne as one of the complete knock-down cars; therefore is an original right-hand drive car. It is a very well-kept original car, run by the original  327 (5.4L) 'Turbo Fire' V8 and has a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. The Impala was sold out of Preston Motors to the Warchol family, who collectively owned the car for the next 37 years. The motor received a refresh in 1990 from HM engines. Finished in Grecian white, the vehicle has received a respray at some point in its life and is in very tidy condition for its age. More recently, the brake hoses and wheel cylinders have just been replaced in the front and rear. There is plenty of room for the entire family with original bench seats, power steering, and the black vinyl interior also presents nicely. To complete the deal, the Impala comes with its original books and sales paperwork, and a file of receipts dating back to 1968.
