Highly desirable and likely one of the most popular cars, well, anywhere, the Mini Cooper S is an icon in motoring history. From first cars to winning International Rallies, the Mini holds a place in a lot of people's hearts. An original Cooper S is getting harder and harder to find, but look no further because we very may well have found the best one out. This Mini began its life as a BMC company car to a single employee, and then was delivered to a Mrs. Parham in February 1971 who optioned the car in solid 'Indigo Blue' with a radio, sunvisor, weather shield, and floor mats. She continued her ownership until 1987 when she moved into aged care facilities. After which the car changed hands a few times before finding its way to the current owner, Group N Rally legend and Collectable Classics' good friend, Ed Ordynski (don't worry, he didn't race it!). Throughout its journey, each owner has kept it garaged and it has been well-loved which truly shows as the Mini remains largely original. The car was resprayed in its original colour during Mrs Parham's ownership and still presents brilliantly. The steering wheel has been swapped for a Momo and the taillights changed to a reproduction set to meet road requirements, though both original outfits do come with the car as does its factory-fit sunvisor. Everything else remains a timepiece of 1969 - even the original 'Australian Made' sticker sits on the rear window. The car is fitted with its original 1275cc engine and is one of only the last 48 Mk1 Cooper S Minis produced, which were fit from factory with the 4 speed full synchromesh transmission, prior to the release of the MkII.  This is certified with the original Passport to Service and Delivery Ticket, both of which are part of the Mini’s large file of receipts, photos and stories of multiple owners. It's such a well-preserved original that the car is even an example on the Classic Registry Info Guide for MKI Cooper S.
