Built in America and then assembled as a complete knockdown kit, the car is an original Australian-delivered vehicle. There were a total of 6,846 SST wagons produced in 1970 with only 71 wagons being assembled in Australia. All Australian Rebels came with the new 360cu (5.9L) V8 and a Borg-Warner 3-speed automatic transmission. 1970 Rebel's received some styling upgrades including  "clamshell" bucket seats, wrap-around taillights, and most notably, a power rear window. This Rebel sports a very original interior and the added bonus of factory-fitted power steering. The body was completely stripped and refinished without bog approx. 5 years ago with work being carried out by Pauls Panel and Paint. The motor has also received some attention, with a new water pump, timing cover, and thermostat and runs quite nicely. It comes with a fresh set of rear taillights and the original chrome roof racks. The Rebel is in good condition for its age. You could happily run and drive it as is and fiddle with a few things as you see fit.
