This 1970 Holden Torana LC GTR is back on the market for the first time in many years. Featured in the Unique Cars Torana Review, The Torana has been subject to a ground-up restoration, carried out by Worthy GTR Restorations. It sports a rare colour combination in Daytona Bronze with contrasting Antique Gold trim, which was original to the car. It is powered by a 2600S 'red' motor, which is the bigger twin to the 161ci, and made 125hp by way of a WW2 twin-barrel Bendix-Stromberg carburettor, meatier camshaft, upgraded valves and springs, twin exhaust headers, and a low restriction air cleaner. This motor was fully rebuilt by Thess Engines, and paired with a 4-speed GMH gearbox which, while not original to the car, was standard from July 1971. A set of period-perfect Aunger Hustler mag wheels was also fitted to the car for a better stance. As it sits, the car is in wonderful condition and is truly a testament to the work put into it to refresh and retain the classic.
