This XJ6 is a four-owner vehicle, originally owned and then sold by Patterson Motors Melbourne. The third owner, an established Euro car mechanic, then replaced the motor with another 4.2L Jaguar engine. Additionally, the power steering unit and transmission were replaced. The headlining and woodwork were restored, along with the cooling system upgraded. The XJ6's suspension was also upgraded to E-type suspension, which has the car sitting a little lower than standard and improves the handling. The car then became part of the owner's private Jaguar collection until it was sold by Lou Guthry Motors to its current owner in 2015. in the past 10 years of ownership, the current owner has reconditioned the transmission, air compressor, along with new hoses, and the power brake unit.
