Mileage 32764 Engine 998cc - 4 Cylinder Rego SEC07C Just arrived - There's not many others like this 1971 Morris Mini. Known and loved, everyone has a story about when they owned a Mini. But they were nothing like this, because they dont normally come with a 1000cc Yamaha R1 engine strapped under the bonnet. The 1998-2003 R1 engine is a 998cc liquid-cooled inline 4 cylinder motor, rated at 150bhp, and power at the wheels has been measured at 75.1kw - making it a fair bit more powerful than the original Mini. This engine is fitted by a Pro Motive R1 conversion kit. This kit includes the Mini front sub frame, reverse gearbox with selector cable, bespoke tubular exhaust manifold, custom made oil immersed differential assembly, gear lever, linkage, and cable, new custom radiator, silicone hoses and stainless steel clips, fully ball bearinging high-output electric fan with fitting kit, aluminium chain guard, and pipework for heater connections. The brake system has been upgraded with vented rotors and 4 piston calipers in the front from a 1980 Austin Metro, while the rears are commercially available aluminium finned drums. The interior has also been upgraded, with recaro seats for driver and passenger alike. Finished in an eyecatching dark blue metallic, this Mini comes with a full engineering report and is currently on historic registration here in SA.
