Mileage 3003 Engine 2.25L - 4 Cylinder Rego TBA Just arrived - This 1977 Landrover Series III SWB is an incredible car thats had lots of money spent on it. The Series III was the most produced series Landrover with 440,000 built throught production years. It was the first model to recieve an all synchro 4 speed manual transmission, and saw some cosmetic upgrades like a new grille design, a new moulded plastic dash, and the initally central positioned instrument cluster was moved to the driver's side. This 88 inch Short Wheel Base is run by a 2.25 petrol engine, with a 4 speed manual transmisison, 2 speed manual transfer case, and selectable four wheel drive. The previous owner purchased the car in 1995, with the original engine in pieces, and spent time to look for a low km original engine with standard bore and crank. The motor was then entirely rebuilt before being mounted in the car, and a tonne of other work has been done too using all new old stock parts. This includes a new fuel pump, water pump, Lucas condensor, points generator, Lucas rotor button, NOS ignition leads, NOS temp sensor unit, new fuel tank, fuel line and clamps, reconditioned military spec gear box, and so much more. the interior has been upgraded with a deluxe seat set, sunvisors, factory floor mats, and army door pockets. The list goes on, all the way down to genuine floor screws with nuts, with roughly $70k spent to get the Landrover to where it is today. The only untouched element is the paint, which remains original for the nostalgic look. You couldn't perform this sort of restoration again for nearly the same money, but this Series III is complete and ready to go with unbeliveable value for money. More interior photos to come.
