Mileage 60532 Engine 350cu (5.7L) - L81 V8 Rego 81VETT Just arrived - This 1981 Chevrolet Corvette C3 stands out from the others. An icon in American automotive history that combined the muscle car and sports car into one, the C3 Corvette is a very well-recognised car. This C3 in particular is a well-optioned original car that comes with an incredible history. It was sold new from Don Allen Chevrolet in Pittsburgh, to a gentleman who resided in Pennsylvania. He optioned the car with Camel leather bucket seats, custom two-tone paint, power door locks, power antenna, AM/FM stereo, cruise control, defogger, aluminium wheels, and removable glass roof panels. The file then shows it spent 1992 to 2008 with another owner in California before it moved on to its last US owner in La Canada, California. The C3 was then imported to Australia in 2014, where it went through inspection and was fitted with an ADR compliance plate. The C3 retained its original 350 cu (5.7L) 'L81', which made a sweet 190 hp, and a 3-speed automatic transmission. Complete with its original owner's manual, the C3 has a wonderful file of both American and Australian history. More recently, the C3 has received new rear toe arm bushings, rear trailing arm front bushings, rear wheel bearings and a rear cross member bushing. This vehicle is beautifully maintained both inside and out and is a true testament to its owners over the years. Its distinctive two-tone paint is in wonderful condition for the age, as is the camel leather interior, and it sounds as nice as it looks. Registered here in SA under historic registration and is available to go with the '81VETT' number plates, the C3 is a great opportunity to own a unique and gorgeous American cruiser.
