Talk about a rare Holden. The anniversary model was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the amalgamation between Holden Body Builders and General Motors. Limited to only 300 cars, the owners were presented with a commemorative medallion and a bottle of port, which was numbered identically to the car. This VC is build no. 298, and a very rare manual edition. Sold new at Gilbert Motors Holden in Mt Barker, just 20mins from Collectable Classics in Strathalbyn, this VC has been a local car its whole life. It is a two-owner car with books and history, and the matching bottle of port and medallion. Driven by the 3.3L 6-cylinder motor and the desirable 4-speed manual, the VC is finished in Commemorative Gold. It has received a respray to keep it looking fresh, and the current owner has located 50th anniversary stickers to return the VC to its original spec. The original Buckskin velour interior is in wonderful condition for the age, too. Currently sitting on a set of Dragway wheels, the genuine SLE wheels that are available with the purchase could easily be refitted for a more original look.
