Mileage 205282 Engine 3L - Turbo 6 cylinder Rego XX770K Arriving soon! - This 1987 Holden Commodore VL Calais Turbo is a nicely upgraded example. Delivered new from Smith Motor Co. in Port Adelaide, the VL is an original Calais Turbo that received the '324 pack', which included an 'LW5' 3L EFI turbo 6-cylinder engine and an 'MS1' 4-speed automatic transmission. Boostworx rebuilt the engine in 2022, which included new cast pistons, rings, conrods, main bearings, front and rear main seals, spark plugs, and several gaskets. The VL has had several upgrades fitted, including an upgraded GT3540 turbo, 1000cc injectors, a new Microtech computer, an E85 external fuel pump, an HKS fuel pressure gauge, a front-mount intercooler, an oil catch can, and a limited-slip differential. The transmission was rebuilt approximately 6 years ago and has been equipped with a Stage 2 shift kit and a 2800RPM stall converter. Finished in Venetian Red Metallic with a Sandlewood interior, the VL is tidy for its 39 years on the road, though certainly not new. It comes with original books and a small file of receipts.
