Mileage 01786 Engine 351 - Cleavland V8 Rego TBA Just arrived - This 1971 Ford Falcon 500 XY Utility 351 GT Tribute is an Aussie icon. Well-known and even more well-loved, the XY was a facelift of the XW and the last of Ford's second-generation Falcon. This XY started its life as a Falcon 500 ute, and has since been built into a GT tribute car. The original 'L' code 250ci 6 cylinder has been swapped out for a 351 Cleveland V8, which was rebuilt and fitted by Goolwa Motor Works, including the fitting of roller rockers, larger heads, piston rings, a new crank, and a balancer. It runs a 4-speed top loader manual transmission along with the standard differential. The XY also received a new dual exhaust, fuel pump, all windows, brakes, wheel cylinders, and power steering pump. The light saddle interior was traded in favour of new black seats, fresh carpets, new hood lining and a GT dash. The original Yellow Ochre has been changed to a striking Orange that is bound to turn heads if the rumbling V8 doesn't first, and presents quite nicely for a 25-year-old respray. Complete with the hood scoop and GT striping and badging, the XY totally looks the part, and you could not redo this kind of restoration for the asking price. NOTE: Car is stored off property.
