The car is powered by a 2.9 V6 V6 engine found in many European Ford vehicles , has a Sierra 5-speed manual gearbox, rack and pinion steering, Cortina Mark IV front end and Capri rear axle. The front windscreen and side windows are MG items and the bodywork is all-aluminium on a steel chassis, with leather-clad interior and weatherproof soft-top. Nice touches include the chrome wire wheels, Walnut dash and door cappings,, radio/cassette with speakers in the doors and a heater unit. From the total Kallista production of 1,740 cars between 1982 and 1991, just three were officially imported into Australia when new, with approximately seven more coming in as private imports, making the car on offer here an exceptionally rare machine.
