Amelia Earhart’s 1935 Super Eight Packard Coupe fully restored to award-winning concours cond. This was the last car owned by Amelia before she disappeared in her plane in 1937 and apparently gifted to her as an Official Packard Ambassador. It has her initials, “A” and “E” cast into the front and rear bumpers. Is powered by a 7-litre high-performance straight 8 engine with high performance aluminium cylinder head, specified with 6 wire wheels and whitewalls. Also has the ‘mother-in-law’ rumble rear seat with rear roll-down window, two golf club doors, authentically restored interior with working original factory radio and heater. This is a limited, hand-built 4-seater fixed head coupe, one of less than 10 produced in 1935, with this body style. A very rare award-winning and collectible car, purchased by current owner off its third owner in Dallas, TX, in 2007. As featured in a recent edition of Unique Cars magazine and recently exhibited at the Gold Coast Motor Museum. With her plane almost certainly now discovered, the value of this car is likely to soar, so a great investment for serious collectors.
