It was ordered new with a 302 (4.9L) V8 and a 3-speed 'Cruisomatic' automatic transmission. The XB was optioned in Snow White with a Saddle interior and factory air conditioning. It received an older restoration approximately 33 years ago, and still presents very well. The current owner has had possession of the XB since 2013 and has spent some money in that time. This includes a new radiator and radiator hoses, a new vacuum-operated heater tap, a new period-correct A/C piston compressor, a new exhaust and muffler, a new water pump, a new voltage regulator, a new ignition fitted, a new steering idler arm, and the bumper overriders have been rechromed. There is a small file with the car, including a letter from Ford confirming the factory order specifications. The XB is also eligible for historic registration, which greatly minimises on-road costs.
