One of just 11,392 produced, this Herald was originally a 948 cc twin-carburettored 4-cylinder beast. This was upgraded in 2002 to a 1.2L Datsun 4-cylinder motor, which is paired to a 4-speed manual with synchromesh on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear. This Triumph is an older restoration that presents quite well, though it is certainly not new, finished in a delightful blue that is accented by some very nice chrome work. The light beige interior is quite neat, with the blue piping tying it in with the exterior brilliantly. The black convertible roof is in good condition for the age of the vehicle and can be folded away on nice days to enjoy the breeze. Eligible for historic registration, enjoy minimal on-road costs and weekend cruises with like-minded enthusiasts. If the Triumph stays in SA, the custom plates 'HERALD' are also available to go with the car.
